The 2007 Gibson Les Paul Custom 1957 50th Anniversary Limited Edition is a tribute to the original 1957 Les Paul Standard, crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop. Finished in a striking gold, this guitar features a bound solid mahogany body paired with a maple top, offering a classic tonal blend. The maple-set mahogany neck is adorned with a bound rosewood fingerboard, showcasing pearloid trapezoid inlays across 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12-inch radius. The headstock sports an engraved 50th anniversary gold-plated veneer, emphasizing its special edition status.
Tone is delivered through a dual Burstbucker pickup configuration, with a Burstbucker 1 in the neck and a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge, both covered in gold. The guitar is wired with CTS pots and Bumble Bee capacitors, controlled by two volume and two tone knobs along with a three-way toggle switch. Additional features include Grover gold-plated Rotomatic tuners, a bone nut, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, gold top hat knobs, and a gold-plated pickguard. This instrument comes complete with its original hard shell case numbered #140.
