2004 Fender Custom Shop 1954 Stratocaster Sunburst John Cruz Masterbuilt

This 2004 Fender 1954 Stratocaster was master built by John Cruz for Fender's 50th year anniversary. This guitar is a great replica of an early ‘54 Stratocaster. John Cruz was one of Fender's best. This guitar has a beautifully grained ash body with its original two tone sunburst nitrocellulose finish. It has hand wired 1954 alnico 3 Stratocaster pickups that sound exactly what you would expect a mid 50s Strat to sound like. The guitar has what I would call a “closet classic” relic job. There is some light checking throughout the finish on the body. The guitar weighs in at 8lbs 8oz and is incredibly balanced and comfortable to play standing or sitting.  The guitar ships with its COA and  Fender '54 leather strap.  All case candy is in sealed bag in the original hard shell poodle case.
